Our proudest moment of the past year:
“During the realization, ‘Removing Boundaries’ project, we opened the first inclusive center in Kazakhstan for people with disabilities. The opening of the office was the most memorable moment when we saw the result of our hard work.”
Biggest challenge from the past year:
“For our ‘ADAM’ project it was difficult with us to communicate with the prisoners, since they acquire different moral principles being in prison. We have learned how to approach each of our beneficiaries.”
Team described in one word:
Self-motivated.
Gulden sees Enactus as a big opportunity for achieving goals and creating projects. Just one year on her team, Gulden serves as a Project Manager. “The greatest challenge I have faced in Enactus work is the new horizons and great responsibility,” says Gulden, a law major set to graduate in June 2021. “My friends and team members have helped me develop new skills and I now have the confidence and know-how to improve the world.” Her greatest success has been receiving a grant from the Islamic Bank for Development that allows her to study at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business next year.

Aidyn came to his university looking for a way to challenge himself to become more responsible and useful in society. That is when he joined our Enactus Kazakstan National Champion team. Now on his team for two years, he serves as the Vice Captain. “Thanks to Enactus I worked on my self-development and self-improvement,” says Aidyn. “I learned to overcome the difficulties and now I am one of the key decision makers on the team.” Aidyn is an accounting and audit major planning to graduate in June 2020.
