Our proudest moment of the past year:
“After months of deliberating we finally came up with an innovative idea that reduces plastic waste in water bodies and in our environment that also provides jobs to those in need.”
Biggest challenge from the past year:
“Getting funding for three projects we wanted to embark on. But with grants from Ford and our institution, we were able to successfully implement some phases of the project.”
Team described in one word:
Warriors.
Barbara became involved in Enactus during a career fair held at her university. She is a political studies major set to graduate July 2019 and is completing her third and final year as an Enactus team member. Barbara serves as the Vice President of Human Resources on her team. For Barbara, her greatest success has been being on the presentation team twice in which her team has emerged national champions back-to-back. Through Enactus, she has learned time management skills that help her know how to balance academics, other activities on campus and her responsibilities on her team.

At the recommendation of a friend, Wilson joined our Enactus Ghana champion team three years ago. He serves as the Vice President of Information Technology. He says working to impact the lives of people in underprivileged communities and seeing the smiles on their faces has been the biggest success he’s achieved through Enactus. He’s looking ahead to his second and final time at Enactus World Cup as an opportunity to collaborate, network and learn all that he can from other competing teams. Wilson graduated in July 2018 and majored in telecommunication engineering.
