Our proudest moment of the past year:
“Hearing the warm gratitude of our beneficiaries, seeing them in better life conditions and realizing that our hard work and dedication has paid off in the best way.”

Biggest challenge from the past year:
“Unfortunately, the Enactus environment is not as developed in our country and so few investors and companies know Enactus; almost none of them is interested in cooperation. It was really challenging to convince them to be partners or to make an investment. To get over this obstacle, we created a social media strategy that targets our audience to increase awareness and formed a basis for further cooperation.”

Team described in one word:

Get to Know Us:

Just one year after joining Enactus, Gunel’s commitment to her team and her background in social media management led her to becoming the Social Media Manager on our Enactus Azerbaijan National Champion team. “My main duty is to create awareness about our projects and I play an important role in creating the image of our team,” says Gunel. “I run a social media campaign that targets potential investors and as a result we got an investment offer.” Gunel is an economics major scheduled to graduate in July 2020.

Two years ago, Kanan came to campus in search for a way to fulfill his social responsibility. He became involved in Enactus after a poster on a wall caught his attention and since then he hasn’t looked back. Today one of his greatest successes with the team has been improving his skills in project management, communication and networking. “I think that personal growth is the biggest success,” says Kanan a management major set to graduate in July 2019. “[Personal growth] opens new doors for you.”

More about Kanan:

  • What I’m reading: “The 48 Laws of Power” by Robert Greene
  • Theme song: “Canon in D” by Johann Pachelbel
  • Who inspires me: Kofi Annan
  • Enactus in one word: Opportunities.
  • Best Enactus moment: “Creating happiness on our beneficiaries faces and to see that our efforts pay off.”
  • In five years, I will be… “working in the UN to achieve more SDGs from wider perspectives.”
