Focus on innovative, performance-based business models to create prosperity
The United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) and Enactus announced a joint declaration of collaboration today to foster and promote innovative performance-based business models which ignite business growth, advance economic competitiveness and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
UNIDO is a specialized agency of the United Nations, formed to promote and accelerate inclusive and sustainable industrial development (ISID) in Member States. Since 2005, UNIDO has been among the pioneers supporting alternative business models, such as chemical leasing, and their adoption by companies. Together with a worldwide network of partners, the UNIDO’s Global Chemical Leasing Programme contributes to the achievement of the SDGs, making real progress towards a sustainable future.
Enactus is the world´s largest experiential learning platform dedicated to creating a better world while developing the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders and social innovators. With 72,000 participating students on university campuses in 36 countries, Enactus teams launch projects and businesses to, among other objectives, help address the SDGs. Teams are supported by an international network of business and academic leaders.
