Top Four Teams Named in Ultimate Showcase of Social Innovation
(San Jose, CA) October 10, 2018 – Enactus teams of university students from Lambton College, Sarnia, Ontario, Canada; Shri Ram College of Commerce, New Delhi, India; October 6 University, Cairo, Egypt; and Mohammadia School Of Engineers, Rabat, Morocco, were named finalists today at Enactus World Cup 2018. The Enactus World Cup champion team will be named on October 11 and will be awarded the Ford Better World Award of $50,000USD with the top 3 runners-up earning prize monies as well.
“The collective impact created by these teams is strengthening the communities and economies served by their work,” said Rachael Jarosh, president and CEO, Enactus. “While these top four teams are being recognized for their social innovation projects, the real winners are all of us and each of the communities served by the work of all our Enactus teams.”
The teams advanced to the final round of competition at the signature event for Enactus, a global non-profit with more than 72,000 student members from 36 countries across 1,730 university campuses. They have been selected from the 36 teams who began the competition on Tuesday, October 9, and will present to a panel of global business leaders on Thursday, Octoberr 11.
