Enactus today announced that Rachael Jarosh will step down as its President and CEO in June 2021.
The planned transition comes at a time of unprecedented strength for the organization. During Jarosh’s tenure, Enactus defined and successfully achieved a multi-year transformation plan emerging as a more effective, more efficient organization. It is now a uniquely positioned platform for entrepreneurial next generation leaders, who gain key skills for the future of work through Enactus while expanding economic inclusion and helping communities revive and thrive.
“Thanks to Rachael’s leadership, Enactus is now poised for exponential growth,” said Gonzalve Bich, chief executive officer of Société BIC S.A. and chair of the Enactus Board of Directors. “Amid an extraordinarily dynamic environment, Rachael strengthened the Enactus mission and financial model, and created vital new partnerships while simultaneously expanding Enactus’ role as a leading youth development and entrepreneurship organization,” he added.
“Enactus is more effective in more global markets today because of Rachael’s collaborative approach throughout our global network. Though we are sad to see her leave, it is clear that Enactus is more well-positioned than ever for future growth and impact,” noted Joerg Krell, management consultant and chair of the organization’s international council of governing boards.
Jarosh said the tens of thousands of Enactus students and alumni have been her inspiration. “Every next generation leader who has made a purposeful choice to embrace business as a force for good and, through their work with Enactus, gained relevant skills while strengthening their community is an antidote to pessimism about humanity’s capacity for progress,” she said.
“I want to thank the dedicated community of bold partners, donors and advocates whose generosity and passion helped fuel Enactus’ progress and impact, and to thank the Board for the honor of serving this extraordinary mission,” Jarosh said. “It has been extremely rewarding to experience the transformative growth among next generation leaders created by my colleagues’ efforts worldwide. I am especially grateful to them for all that they have done to advance our impact,” she added.
As the largest experiential learning platform dedicated to creating a better world while developing the next generation of social innovators and entrepreneurial leaders, “this is an exciting time for a new, dynamic leader to drive the next phase of Enactus,” Bich said, adding, “I look forward to working with the next leader of Enactus to even further expand our impact.”
The Enactus Board of Directors and Jarosh have worked together on the process to identify her successor. The Board has launched a search committee and engaged an executive search firm; for more information about the search, email EnactusCEO@spencerstuart.com.
