Enactus announced that its Board of Directors has named Robyn Schryer Fehrman as the organization’s next president and chief executive officer. She will assume responsibilities on Sept. 7, 2021. Fehrman succeeds Rachael Jarosh, who in January, announced her intent to step down after a successful 5-year tenure.
Fehrman brings 20 years of experience scaling impact enterprises to achieve systemic change. She joins Enactus after serving as managing director of the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE) at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
“Robyn brings a passion for social entrepreneurship and nonprofit leadership experience to Enactus,” said Gonzalve Bich, chief executive officer of Société BIC S.A. and chair of the Enactus Board of Directors. “Her experience, energy and core values make her well-suited to advance Enactus’ growth agenda, and I’m confident that the true benefactors of this selection will be the thousands of participating students around the world.”
The planned transition comes at a time of unprecedented strength for the organization. “Enactus is more effective in more global markets today because of Rachael’s leadership, and it is clear that Enactus is more well-positioned than ever for future growth and impact,” noted Joerg Krell, chair of the organization’s international council of governing boards. “We look forward to welcoming Robyn and to bringing our goal of reaching 1M students annually to life.”
As the largest experiential learning platform dedicated to creating a better world while developing the next generation of social innovators and entrepreneurial leaders, “this is an exciting time at Enactus,” Bich added. “I look forward to working with Robyn and the Enactus Board of Directors to further expand our impact.”
