(San Jose, CA) October 10, 2018 – Enactus alumni named the Global Alumni Over 30 and Under 30 awards today at Enactus World Cup 2018. The awards were presented to Enactus China Alumna Monica Mou and Enactus United States Alumna Tina Dai, respectively.
As Head of Innovation Center at YHD.com—a Chinese online-supermarket—Mou created the sector’s first incubator, the YHD Innovation Center, which generated 2 billion RMB in annual value, with 200 implemented projects and 30 successful incubations. This success earned her the Shanghai Government’s Financial Innovation Award and the YHD Innovation Center is featured in Harvard Business School’s and Wharton Business School’s YHD.com case studies, and was bundled with YHD.com’s successful exit via trade sale to Walmart.
Using an intrapreneurial approach, internally shaping within the company she works, Dai launched a new upmarket offering of QuickBooks Online to serve small businesses outgrowing current QuickBooks lineup. In her work at Intuit, Dai serves as a product manager who coordinates and inspires cross-functional teams determined to improve the lives of customers and small businesses across the globe; putting to work the team leading skills she acquired through her Enactus experience.
The alumni were gathered at the signature event for Enactus, a global non-profit with more than 72,000 student members from 36 countries across 1,730 university campuses.
“The enduring impact of our organization is evident in the achievement and continued innovation that our alumni drive in their careers and service,” says Rachael Jarosh, president and chief executive officer. “We continue to be inspired and invested in the work of our alumni network as they build businesses founded on Enactus values and the principle of having a head for business and a heart for the world.”
